Accounting Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of accounting experience and demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
  • Maintain and update financial records, spreadsheets, and reports
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end close activities
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Review invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents for accuracy
  • Support audits and assist with documentation as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and basic financial processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
